rhubarb designs produces a range of modern, handmade pieces of kiln-fused glassware, in three main ranges: homeware, wall art and jewellery. Each piece is designed to show off glass's innate tactility, transparency and colour.

Each piece starts with a range of coloured glass sheets, which are cut to shape, assembled by hand and fused in a kiln to over 800°C. After a carefully controlled annealing process and having cooled to room temperature, many of the pieces are fired in the kiln again, to about 730°C, to slump them into shape.

The result of such efforts is plain to see: every rhubarb designs piece is truly unique, with slight, but discernable, variations in each piece. Each object highlights three wonderful qualities of glass: its tactility, its transparency and its colour. These qualities make a rhubarb designs handmade piece the perfect addition to your home.
